hey everyone! im sure a w/p spearchucker build has existed, but i couldnt find any, im pretty bored and the idea is appealing to me, so i started messing around, what i have in mind right now would be something like:

as elite: flourish, energy managent for asuran scan and some spear attacks ( i love asuran scan to muchto leave it out of aany bar on my warr)

flail: for obvious reasons, IAS, the slow wont hurt as much since you're ranged

Save yourselves: no questions asked here...

For Great justice: adren! need i say more?

asuran scan: always hitting! zomfg epic

Spear of fury

maiming spear: not to sure about this one, although cripple might be nice...

spear of lightning: arp... may not give adren...blazing spear instead?

spear would be zealous modded

i have no idea if this would work and hope i get some responses, all advice and constructive criticism is welcome

edit: another option as elite would be battle rage, although i dont fance builds without as cuz of constant blind and blocking skills in HM...

First of all: Mighty Throw has 3 sec ACTIVATION TIME, not recharge.
And second: throw in Spear of Fury in that build for more adrenaline gain.
And I'm not sure whether spear of lighting gives adrenaline.

Well, thought I'd mention SoH only pumps up melee dmg.
So unless you have it for some other mysterious reasons, I'd recommend you to drop it.

This is what me and a friend came up with we wanted to see who could have fun in FoW (HM) with an all para team my paragon was no where near ready so I went warrior spear chucker all I can say is I beat my friends time by 40mins and he is more experienced with FoW then I am.

And this is not the best W/P build by far one person or maybe two I know of who are great with Para's are Khomet Si Netjer and rac the guy who created racway

You don't really need e-management for a spearchucker, there are plenty of good adrenal spear attacks.

Spear of Fury [PvE]
Blazing Spear
Cruel Spear or Stunning Strike [E]
Flail
Asuran Scan [PvE] (though I wouldn't recommend anymore)
For Great Justice
Save Yourselves! [PvE]
Optional

Optional:

Enraging Charge, to use in conjunction with FGJ at the start to pump up your adrenaline
Barbed Spear, to use as a cheap condition for spear of fury/stunning strike
etc.

EDIT: I'd use either furious, sundering, or vamp spear, not zealous. Also, of course spear of lightning gives adrenaline, why wouldn't it?

because someone above you in the thread said something about it

and why would you not recommed asuran scan? everytime i go somewhere without it i end up spending more of my time shouting at my laptop because i'm either blinded or getting blocked half of the time

A Scan isn't bad if you're the only physical in the group, but if there are 3 or more, I'd rather have condition removal. For areas with a lot of blockers, I agree with you, I'd take it. It's more of a if-I-need-it kind of skill, not an always-bring to me.

kay so ,after some opinions this is one of the builds i tried out that works best for me ( build in attachment) reason why i didnt go full adren is because i think there's to much adren denial in HM for it to be viable...so, opinions on the build?

i think you have the right idea, bring spear of fury and a condition (barbed spear perhaps) and you are set. spear of fury charges every other adrenaline skill on the bar every 8 seconds... at max rank it is 7 strikes of adrenaline which charges anything except for Stunning Strike, and it's only 1 hit away from charging SY. The ridiculous adrenaline cost of Stunning Strike isn't that bad when you can charge it up so quickly.

You probably don't need FGJ on that bar, Spear of Fury ought to be enough by itself. For the elite you could try Stunning Strike or Cruel Spear as well as various adrenal boosters. If you care to spec into Tactics then Soldier's Stance and To The Limit make a great combo for W/P or P/W.

Used to be awesome but doesn't work anymore, adrenaline gain for that skill only happens from melee hits now.

@ Giro, I thought spear of lighting doesn't give adrenaline becuase it deals elemental dmg rather than physical. Am I right? idk, i thought i read that somewhere

EDIT: nvm, I tested it and spear of lighting actually does give adrenaline.

Don't use Enraging; That only works for melee attacks. Also, Spear of Lightning is not affected by Orders, Barbs, or Mark of Pain (deals lightning damage). Finally, I like to have a source of deep wound running on any phys, so I would take Cruel Spear or Stunning+Vicious/Merciless.
